Ahead of their crucial Europa League final against Villarreal on Wednesday night, Manchester United’s squad have travelled out to Gdansk, Poland.

With the Red Devils currently preparing to take on a rock-solid Villarreal side, lifting their first piece of major silverware since 2017 will not be an easy task.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s pre-match woes look to be piled on after the Norweigan revealed he is not expecting captain Harry Maguire to be fit enough to feature.

Elsewhere, Solskjaer faces a vital decision over which one of his first-choice shot-stoppers should start against their Spanish opponents – David De Gea or Dean Henderson.

Despite the painful selection headache, Stretty News understands that Solskjaer is expected to start De Gea on Wednesday with Henderson resigned to the bench.

Although Solskjaer has yet to make a final decision, a close club source has confirmed that there is a general feeling De Gea will be named in his manager’s starting 11.

United’s final game of the season is scheduled to kick-off at 8pm (UK time) and will be broadcast live on BT Sport 1
