Edinson Cavani has been at Manchester United for a full season now, after agreeing to extend his stay to ensure he will be at Old Trafford for the upcoming Premier League and Champions League campaign.
He’s different gravy. He does everything at a premium and has been a brilliant influence to have around Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood.
Next season we’ll see those players grow again — possibly excluding Martial if he departs in the summer — but with Cavani in the mix.
It also means manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doesn’t need to worry about signing a striker this summer. Perhaps looking to buy a goalscorer for the right flank would help us move to the next level, but we cannot go through the transfer window without strengthening at the back.
Congratulations to Cavani on winning Manchester United’s Player of the Month for April.
