Round 2? Will there be more anti-Glazer protests tonight in another bid to postpone Manchester United vs Liverpool in the Premier League?
There could be more fan protests tonight, but as it stands, the game is going ahead so we’ll proceed we our predicted XI to take on Liverpool.
The fixture spells the end of our crazy stretch of four games in eight days, and the lads suffered defeat on Tuesday night against Leicester after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was forced into making 10 changes to his side that beat Aston Villa two days earlier.
We can expect another 10 changes tonight.
Dean Henderson will return between the sticks.
Luke Shaw will start at left-back, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka on the right, especially after both full-backs got 90 minutes rest on Tuesday night. They both needed it.
At centre-back we expect Victor Lindelof to partner Eric Bailly. They’ve rarely performed well together. Axel Tuanzebe hasn’t played enough games this season to be risked for this one.
Scott McTominay and Fred will be our midfield anchor duet, which will allow for Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes to find our players in forward positions.
I suspect Mason Greenwood will get a rest after starting United’s last 3 games, with Solskjaer opting for Marcus Rashford and Edinson Cavani from the start.
Predicted XI: Henderson, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Bailly, Shaw; Fred, McTominay, Fernandes, Pogba; Rashford, Cavani.
