Despite recently agreeing to extend Edinson Cavani’s contract, Manchester United are reportedly still keen to land Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
Earlier this season, Cavani looked nailed on to turn the chance to stay at United for another season down and seek a return back to his native South America.
However, after seemingly convincing the veteran striker to pen a 12-month extension, the elite forward is now set to play in front of a packed Old Trafford next season.
Despite this though, according to a recent report from Football Insider, the club’s hierarchy remain interested in Kane.
It has been claimed that Kane is viewed as one of the club’s ‘main targets’ but a summer move will not be easy as Tottenham Hotspur demand over £100m for their star striker.
Although the Red Devils have a wealth of attacking talent among their ranks, it is widely accepted that the club’s coaching staff view the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial as better wide options.
The lack of elite-quality in the number nine position could see the Red Devils look to bolster once the summer transfer window opens.
