Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Spanish shot-stopper David De Gea is his current first-choice goalkeeper.
Speaking after his side’s Europa League semi-final win (8-5 on aggregate), Solskjaer has lauded De Gea following what was a ‘Man of the Match’ performance.
Despite losing Thursday’s match 3-2, it is undeniable that De Gea saved the Red Devils’ blushes after putting in a shot-stopping masterclass.
Several key saves in the match’s first half ensured Roma would have to pull off a miracle if they were to get the better of United.
Speaking in a press conference after the game, Solskjaer has confirmed that despite Dean Henderson seemingly being his preferred domestic goalkeeper, De Gea is still very much his go-to man for in between the sticks.
