Scott McTominay revealed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer called for calmness from his Manchester United players at half-time in the brilliant victory over Tottenham.
United were left furious going into the pause a goal down after having a goal chalked off after the VAR advised referee Chris Kavanagh to check the pitch side monitor.
Edinson Cavani thought he had put United into the lead but the goal was cancelled out for McTominay making contact with Spurs star Heung-min Son in the build up.
Son then scored moments after to rub salt into the wounds but United’s reaction after the break was outstanding.
Goals from Fred, Cavani and Mason Greenwood secured a fantastic turnaround for Solskjaer’s side.
McTominay said Solskjaer told his players to ‘keep calm’ and ‘not panic’ amid heightened frustration during the break.
United certainly did that and dismantled Jose Mourinho’s men in an emphatic second period.
