To outsiders, Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is often viewed as the side’s trouble maker – however, according to recent reports, that interpretation couldn’t be further from the truth.
It has been reported by The Sun that despite his long-term future remaining up in the air, the United dressing room would very much like to see Pogba commit his long-term future to the club.
With his current deal set to expire next summer and his super-agent Mino Raiola continually hinting at a proposed move, Pogba’s next destination seems incredible uncertain.
Despite this though, seemingly keeping his head down on the pitch, Pogba appears to be content at Old Trafford.
The Frenchman is rumoured to be an extremely popular member of United’s squad and is widely regarded as the club’s captain off the pitch.
When it comes to a potential move away, The Sun claim to have spoken to a close source who said: “Paul may be regarded with suspicion by a lot of the fanbase because of his agent courting other clubs, but there is no doubt where the players stand with him.
“They recognise he is one of the team’s stars and he is as desperate as they are for the club to be successful again.
“He is well-liked by all his team-mates and no one wants him to leave.
“But they also understand if a player is unhappy, it usually leads to his departure.
“They all hope he will start the next season at Old Trafford.”
One club Pogba has been relentlessly linked with is his former side Juventus – however, Stretty News recently reported that a move back to Turin is off the cards.
The French World Cup winner’s salary demands are too high for the Old Lady, who, like many clubs, are still dealing with the financial effects the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has had.
