“He will make his own mind up” – Solskjaer addresses Haaland to Man Utd rumours

Mino Raiola is reportedly flying to London today to hold meetings about Erling Haaland with four Premier League clubs, including Manchester United.

There is no denying that he is the hottest property in world football right now and we think every top club will be keen if he plans to move on from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

The Norway starlet is scoring goals for fun not only in the Bundesliga but the Champions League which is a prime example of a young striker beginning to blossom.

It looks like he could be one of the best in the world, but do United have a chance at signing Haaland this summer?

I don’t think so. I won’t be getting my hopes up, but can we swing a deal in our favour to sign Harry Kane? He’s not a bad alternative.

Solskjaer was asked about United’s interest in Haaland at this evening’s press conference. He didn’t give too much away – because he can’t really say we’ll be signing him, or that we won’t because that would result in backlash either way.

“I am focussing on the next two months and the ones who are here,” Solskjaer told the Manchester Evening News. “Even though I have worked with him it is not fair to talk about Erling as Man Utd manager. He will make his own mind up.”

It was a difficult question to answer. As manager of Manchester United the manager should be able to confidentially talk about the transfer window, yet it still appears as though Solskjaer’s hands are tied. They were tied Jose Mourinho too.
