Paul Pogba is set to return after being sidelined since February 6 with a thigh injury.
The Manchester United midfielder returned to training this weekend but tonight dropped the biggest hint yet that he’s ready to return to action, with a post on Instagram.
After United’s 1-0 win over West Ham on Sunday, Solskjaer spoke about his injury-hit squad, saying (via Manchester Evening News): “Injury-wise I hope we have four or five players back for that game [vs Milan], very likely Edinson and Anthony are fit, Donny as well, Paul might make the trip and David is back from isolation, that’s more numbers, today we had two goalkeepers on the bench so we need them back.”
Pogba has uploaded a picture to Instagram tonight from today’s training session. He captioned the post: “Let’s get back to work, fellas!”
It would be a great boost in an important week for Solskjaer’s side. Ahead of must-win cup matches!
Birthday week for Pogba
The Frenchman turned 28 on Monday, 15 March, so it would be the perfect present if he could make an appearance against Milan.
Team-mate Bruno Fernandes sent a birthday message to Pogba via Twitter.
“Happy birthday to this big guy!!,” wrote Fernandes. “A class lad on and off the pitch. I miss having him on the pitch Pogboom.”
