Marcus Rashford has been included in Manchester United’s squad to face West Ham after recovering from an ankle injury.
He hobbled off during last weekend’s 2-0 win over Man City but missed the midweek draw with AC Milan, and we were happy to bring you news that showed the forward did not sustain ligament damage.
That would have been a disaster for Rashford – after spending so many months out with a serious back injury last term – and he’s also been playing through pain in his shoulder for the majority of this season.
Dean Henderson is set for his fourth consecutive start.
The squad for today’s game – revealed via Manchester Evening News – has a number of absentees, including Anthony Martial, David de Gea, Paul Pogba, Donny van de Beek, Juan Mata and Edinson Cavani.
United 20-man squad to face West Ham
Henderson, Bishop, Grant; Wan-Bissaka, Williams, Tuanzebe, Lindelof, Maguire, Bailly, Telles, Shaw; Matic, McTominay, Fred, Fernandes; James, Rashford, Shoretire, Amad, Greenwood.
United are not only trying to finish in the top four – but to finish as strongly as possible, which right now should he second-place. Beating West Ham would help bring a gap in the standings.
