Manchester United fans are predicting that loanee Diogo Dalot will star for AC Milan in tonight’s Europa League round-of-16 first-leg tie at Old Trafford.
UEFA rules allow Dalot to start this evening and the Portuguese youngster will be determined to impress in a big test at left-back.
Dalot struggled before his season-long loan move to Italy but United require a player to provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka next season and there couldn’t be a better audition for the 21-year-old.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be keeping a close eye on Dalot and has made four changes to his own side that defeated Manchester City for the third straight time at the Etihad on Sunday.
Alex Telles comes in for Luke Shaw at left-back and Eric Bailly partners Harry Maguire in central defence.
Nemanja Matic joins Scott McTominay in the midfield axis and Daniel James has another chance to shine in attack.
United’s bench includes teenage attackers Amad and Shola Shoretire.
Man Utd XI to face AC Milan: Henderson; Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Maguire, Telles; McTominay, Matic, Fernandes; James, Greenwood, Martial.
Off the very top of my head, I remember one, maybe two decent performances from Diogo Dalot at Old Trafford. Naturally he’s going to have an absolute stormer tonight isn’t he?

Diogo Dalot starts for AC Milan tonight. He’s had a rocky time since moving to Italy, but scored a cracking goal on the weekend. Hope he plays well (although not too well 😂). #MUFC #UEL #MUNACM

Dalot scoring would actually be crazy

Dalot at LB means he will be down the same flank as AWB. That’s going to be a great battle

That Milan side doesn't look all that threatening to be honest. Dalot starts at left-back.#mufc https://t.co/LpZ3lDkcOt
