AC Milan list of injuries ahead of trip to Manchester, including Zlatan

AC Milan won’t have their full-strength squad when they visit Manchester this week.

They are already without Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who suffered an injury two weeks ago, just days after the draw was made.

It would have come as a huge blow for Ibrahimovic who I’m sure was excited about returning to his old home of Old Trafford. The Swede is still a favourite among fans for how he played and carried himself as a United player.

Ibrahimovic is certain to miss the first leg, although he has not yet given up hope of returning for the second leg.

According to Calciomercato, Milan attackers Ante Rebic and Hakan Calhanoglu won’t be travelling to the UK. The latter has eight assists in Serie A this season and will be a big loss. Rebic, on the other hand, has five goals and three assists.

Football Italia report back-up striker Mario Mandzukic is also ruled out, along with key defensive midfielder Ismael Bennacer. Both players were missing at the weekend as Milan beat Verona.

United are not free of injuries either. Marcus Rashford is expected to miss the first leg with an ankle injury and Thursday’s game comes too soon for Paul Pogba.
