Roy Keane described Manchester United as ‘excellent’ in their 2-0 derby victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium and singled out Dean Henderson for special praise.
Goals from Bruno Fernandes and Luke Shaw secured United’s third consecutive win at the Etihad and ended City’s 21-game winning run.
The Reds moved back up to second with the impressive victory and United great Keane lauded manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for again getting the better of Pep Guardiola.
Keane added that United had ‘a bit of swagger’ about them and was impressed by their character following three goalless draws.
Henderson was making his first appearance in a Manchester derby in David de Gea’s absence and put in a near flawless display as he commanded his box and started the attack for United’s second.
Keane predicts that Henderson has a ‘great chance’ of becoming a brilliant goalkeeper at Old Trafford for years to come.
