Are Manchester United still in the hunt for the Premier League title?
I can say what I like in response to that, as editor of this Manchester United blog. I’m not going to be quoted and question by millions of people on Twitter like the manager of Manchester United, who is expected to give the perfect response to every question.
United were prematurely dragged into a Premier League title race by the media. There’s not a single United fan I know who thought we were going to win it this season. None.
Solskjaer has to be careful every time he speaks. Football managers can be misquoted and their quotes are often took out of context.
He told reporters tonight: “I’m never going to say that it’s done until it’s done. You see so many examples of teams that hang in there.”
The United manager wants his team to improve and to show that by winning games between now and the end of the season.
Nobody knows if City will slip at any point but we should try to be in a position to take advantage of that.
United have a lot to play for this season and there’s still a lot of room for improvement.
