Manchester United are willing to offer €70m to Sevilla for star defender Jules Kounde.

With Bayern Munich announcing they will be adding Dayot Upamecano to their squad this summer, as per the official Bundesliga website, attention turned to clubs like Manchester United who are in desperate need of strengthening at the back.

Former club captain Gary Neville made some interesting points about Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire on Sky Sports, and we’ve got Eric Bailly who isn’t reliable enough for a side that wants to win league titles.

I rate Bailly highly but he can’t get a proper run of games together because of the injuries and knocks he picks up. While I wouldn’t say he’s made of class, I think he’s guilty of putting his body in dangerous situations and has absolutely no fear whatsoever. There’s something admirable about that.

According to Sport Witness via Spanish newspaper La Razon, United are willing to offer €70m for the centre-back. PSG and Real Madrid are also keen on the 22-year-old standout.

It’s reported that Kounde holds a release clause of €90m, so it remains to be seen if Sevilla will sell the defender for less than that.

Should United make a move for Kounde in the summer?
