Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde is reportedly attracting the interest of some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United.

Kounde, 22, who joined Sevilla in 2019 emerged as a huge summer target for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, as per Sky Sports.

However, after failing to meet the young starlet’s whopping £70m (€80m) minimum release clause, the Citizens eventually turned their attentions to Ruben Dias.

Since arriving in Spain from French side Bordeaux, the talented defender has impressed immensely.

After featuring in 70 games in all competitions, Kounde has seen him name in the same conversations as RB Leipzig duo Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahima Konate.

After enjoying a hugely impressive breakthrough in La Liga, the 21-year-old’s long-term future continues to be speculated.

The latest in the ongoing saga comes from French outlet AS who claim Kounde is a genuine summer target for PSG, Real Madrid, Barcelona and United.

The outlet firmly believe a club will do what Manchester City failed to do last summer and activate his whopping clause, it’s just a question of where the Frenchman would prefer to play.

AS hint at the possibility of Mauricio Pochettino’s Parisians being favourites to land Kounde due to the 21-year-old being born in Paris.

However, it goes without saying, the youngster is likely to have a host of offers come his way during the summer window, including one possibly from United.
