(Video) Solskjaer rules out loan move for highly-rated youngster

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has ruled out young full-back Brandon Williams leaving on loan during the January transfer window.

Williams, 20, made his breakthrough into United’s senior first-team in September 2019 and has since gone on to feature in 42 matches, in all competitions.

Despite an impressive break-though last campaign which saw the youngster rival regular Luke Shaw for a starting spot, Williams has seen his playing time reduced this time out.

After featuring in just one Premier League match this season, there have been recent suggestions Williams could be set for a loan move in order to rack up some valuable minutes.

However, speaking after his side’s 0-0 draw against Arsenal on Saturday evening, Solskjaer has unequivocally ruled out the 20-year-old leaving on loan.
