Barcelona’s presidential candidate Joan Laporta is reportedly eyeing up a swap deal which could see winger Ousmane Dembele make way for Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.

Sancho, 20, emerged as United’s number-one transfer target during last year’s summer window.

However, with Dortmund’s whopping valuation rumoured to be in excess of £100m, an agreement for Sancho failed to materialise, as per Sky Sports.

Dortmund’s young attacker enjoyed a hugely impressive breakthrough last season which saw him contribute to 40 goals in just 44 appearances, in all competitions.

Having delayed their transfer plans with fans expecting to see the Red Devils reignite their interest this summer, concerns are beginning to grow that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may end up missing out on Sancho all together.

The latest in the ongoing saga comes from outlet Don Balon who claim Laporta, who is hotly tipped to become Barcelona’s next president is keen to offer Dortmund the chance to re-sign Dembele.

Having departed for Barcelona in 2017, Dembele has struggled to recapture his best form whilst playing under the bright lights of the Nou Camp.

These recent reports claim Laporta would welcome a swap deal which would see Dembele return to Dortmund in exchange for Sancho who would be moving the other way.
