West Ham fans excited by Jesse Lingard rumours

West Ham want to sign Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard before the transfer window shuts, as per Daily Mail. Plenty of Hammers are getting excited by the speculation on social media.

David Moyes is said to be looking for an established striker this month.

It remains up in the air whether they will manage to get one in time, but it seems Moyes also wants to strengthen in midfield by adding Jesse Lingard to his squad for the remainder of the season.

Lingard is more renowned for playing as a number 10 or on either wing, but it goes without saying that the England international could offer the Hammers something different going forward and he needs minutes on the pitch.

His dream of making Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2021 squad is probably dead but we’re sure Lingard will give himself every chance if he gets back playing regular football again.

Perhaps the 28-year-old also needs a move out of Manchester — where he’s been all his life — to experience life elsewhere.

West Ham could do a lot worse than signing Lingard, who has 24 caps to his name.

Some West Ham fans have reacted on Twitter to the links with Jesse Lingard…
