Edinson Cavani produced a moment of quality that so nearly led to a Manchester United opening on the counter-attack in their FA Cup fourth round tie against Liverpool.
United have looked far more dangerous than in the goalless draw at Anfield in the Premier League last weekend, with Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford and Cavani all causing problems.
The attacking trident linked up as United chased a third on the break early in the second-half.
Rashford burst into space before neatly finding onrushing striker Cavani.
Cavani showed great awareness in picking out Greenwood with a tidy flick but he was just drawn wide and the attack broke down.
