Solskjaer won’t sanction two youngster’s loan moves for one key reason

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly set to reject loan moves for youngsters Axel Tuanzebe and Brandon Williams due to the Norwegian’s desire to win lift silverware this season.

United are currently leading the rest of the pack as they continue in their quest to lift their 21st league title.

However, still competing on three-fronts, the Red Devils will be desperate to end their four-year long trophy drought.

Having already been knocked out of the EFL Cup earlier this month by bitter-rivals Manchester City, United’s hopes of silverware are now firmly pinned on the Premier League and either the Europa League or FA Cup.

According to a recent report from ESPN, the fact Solskjaer wants to win silverware this season is the main reason why the Norwegian is reluctant to allow too many of his squad players to depart.

ESPN claim that as well as Tuanzebe and Williams, new-signing Donny van de Beek also has short-term admirers but won’t be allowed to move incase their qualities are called upon later in the season.

United’s next clash is in the FA Cup’s Fourth Round when they will host arch-rivals Liverpool on Sunday.
