Manchester United players Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes and Luke Shaw are all at risk of suspension ahead of the trip to Fulham.
The trio are all one yellow card away from a one game suspension after accumulating four yellow cards so far in this Premier League campaign.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer risked three of his most important players against Liverpool at Anfield but may choose to make changes with possible bans in mind at Craven Cottage.
Should Maguire, Fernandes or Shaw be booked against Fulham, they would miss next week’s clash at home to Sheffield United.
This is the last game a player can be punished for five yellow cards as the threshold increases to ten at the halfway stage of the season.
Solskjaer is not without options against Scott Parker’s rejuvenated side and has the strength in depth to make changes should he choose to take action.
Maguire, who could benefit from a rest regardless of a possible ban, could be replaced by Eric Bailly, who was unfortunate to be dropped against Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Alex Telles is a ready made replacement in the starting lineup for the in-form Luke Shaw and Donny van de Beek deserves his chance in attacking midfield if Fernandes is given a rare rest.
But Solskjaer will know the importance of maintaining United’s superb form and could start each of the at-risk trio on Wednesday evening.
