Video: Roy Keane names two Man United stars who underperformed vs Liverpool

Roy Keane believes Manchester United attackers Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes underperformed in the 0-0 draw against Liverpool at Anfield.

United remain top of the Premier League after a resolute defensive showing against Jurgen Klopp’s champions, but the feeling is that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side could have left Merseyside with all three points.

David de Gea was untroubled throughout and United great Keane hailed the diligence of United’s back four in nullifying Liverpool’s offensive threat.

Keane picked out the ‘brilliant’ Luke Shaw for special praise at full-time after a man-of-the-match showing at left-back.

But Keane was less glowing in his appraisal of Rashford and Fernandes, who have been instrumental in United reaching the league’s summit this season.

The Sky Sports pundit said that Rashford ‘never turned up’ at Anfield after a quiet showing where he drifted offside four times in the first-half.

Fernandes was also ineffective on his first appearance against Liverpool and Keane said ‘he didn’t play that well either’.

But the Irishman did note that United had the two best chances of the game and he believes Pogba had to do better when given a clear opening as he slammed straight at Allison in the second-half.
