John Aldridge’s back-handed compliment about Rashford shows Liverpool are worried

You can sense that Liverpool are worried.

Take this for example as Liverpool blogger Jordan Chamberlain, editor of Empire of the Kop, tells us he’s “really, really nervous” about Sunday’s game. His reason is fair — Manchester United are in great form, and Liverpool have not been as good as they were in previous seasons.

You also have Jurgen Klopp coming out to make his feelings clear on United winning penalties and being called a hypocrite by former Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg, as per the Daily Mail.

The Merseyside press are doing their bit too and we couldn’t let it slip off the radar.

But before you dig a little further into the LFC community, or whatever you want to call it, it’s predictable that you will find all sorts of rubbish.

And there it is… a pot of gold.

Aldridge decides to take aim at Marcus Rashford MBE for being dishonest!

The 62-year-old tweeted: “I so respect Marcus rashford for how he goes about his life and what he does for the needy, super player too. Also here his HONEST is brilliant. Referees take note.”

The title of the Mirror’s back page, shared by Aldridge, reads: ‘SPECIAL SWAN – Rashford: Jose taught us secret of how to win penalties’

It’s clear what Liverpool Football Club as a whole are trying to do ahead of the game on Sunday.

At least our manager has remained calm only to issue a mature response to this crap.
