Amad Diallo breaks silence on ‘dream’ Man United move

New signing Amad Diallo has broken his silence on his long-awaited transfer to Manchester United, declaring the switch from Atalanta to Old Trafford as ‘a dream come true’.

Diallo, 18, agreed to join United during deadline day of last summer’s transfer window, however, due to work permit complications, the teenager was forced to wait until January to link-up with his new team-mates.

After finally seeing his long-awaited transfer finalised earlier this month (ManUtd.com), Diallo’s impending debut is getting fans all around the world excited.

The young attacker, who primarily operates on the right-wing has emerged as one of Europe’s most gifted prospects.

After making 93 youth appearances in all competitions for Atalanta, Diallo racked up a hugely impressive 61 direct goal contributions.

However, now with the rest of the United squad, Diallo has broken his silence on his multi-million pound move to Manchester.

Speaking to the club’s official website, when asked how he feels, Diallo said: “I’m over the moon to be here.

“I’m so excited to start here at Manchester United. It’s a dream come true and I can’t wait to start and play with the guys.”

Going on to address the long-winded process he had to go through before seeing his transfer finalised, the youngster said: “It’s been a little bit strange these last few months.

“I would have hoped to have played a little bit more with Atalanta, but it wasn’t possible.

“Now I’m here and I’m very happy to be here. I’m expecting a lot from my experience here and I’m looking forward to starting.”
