Manchester United and Burnley have both been involved in lengthy VAR calls in the first-half of their Premier League game at Turf Moor.
United are level with Sean Dyche’s men at the break and a key talking point came on the half-hour mark when Robbie Brady and Luke Shaw could both have been sent off.
Bruno Fernandes played through Edinson Cavani who was hacked down by ex-United man Brady on the edge of the box with a goalscoring opportunity beckoning.
But in the build-up, Luke Shaw was deemed to have raised his studs in a challenge on Johann Gudmundsson’s shin in United’s half.
Shaw eventually received a yellow card after referee Kevin Friend’s lengthy deliberation with his VAR official.
Just minutes later, Harry Maguire had a header ruled out at the back post for a contentious foul on Eric Pieters.
