An unidentified scout believes a partnership between Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood and new-signing Amad Diallo could prove devastating for opposition defences.

Diallo was officially confirmed as a United player this week after a work permit was finalised following an agreement with Atalanta on summer deadline day.

The 18-year-old’s arrival at Old Trafford has sparked huge excitement within the United fanbase, despite the fact he has only played 59 minutes of first-team football.

He is regarded as one of the most precocious attacking talents across Europe and many believe his arrival represents a significant coup for the club.

The Ivorian winger is set to join up with his new teammates imminently and one scout has already predicted a sparkling connection with fellow United forward Greenwood.

“A future attack involving Mason Greenwood and Amad Diallo, each equally comfortable using both feet, would be a nightmare for defenders,” a scouting source told Laurie Whitwell in an extensive profile piece in The Athletic.

Diallo will join Greenwood and the likes of Facundo Pellistri as the attacking talent Solskjaer will hope to build his team around for years to come.

Of course, expectation should be tempered with the teenager who is so inexperienced at the highest level.

But Goal report that Solskjaer is prepared to integrate Diallo into his plans and believes the youngster is ready to compete for a first-team spot.
