Video: Roy Keane rates Man Utd performance in Carabao Cup semi-final exit to Man City

Roy Keane believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have no complaints after Manchester United ultimately came up against a more accomplished side in their 2-0 Carabao Cup defeat to Manchester City.

United were second best as they fell to a familiar semi-final exit and Keane preferred to lavish praise on a decisive City performance rather than criticise Solskjaer’s side.

Keane branded City as outstanding throughout but United’s frustrations will lie in the manner of the goals they conceded.

The decisive moments came through City’s set-pieces and United were guilty of ball watching as John Stones and Fernandinho scored.

United were impotent in attack and their poor semi-final record is becoming a problem under Solskjaer.

But it’s important that the Reds don’t dwell on this defeat and turn their focus to the Premier League where they can reach the summit if they beat Burnley next Tuesday.
