Manchester United could drop their interest in Jadon Sancho in order to pursue a move for Borussia Dortmund team-mate Erling Haaland.

The Red Devils were strongly linked with Sancho during the summer transfer window but were not successful in their attempts to lower Dortmund’s asking price.

On top of that, the former Man City youngster has struggled for form this season, failing to score in 11 Bundesliga appearances, and according to the Mirror, United are now debating whether to reignite their interest.

The report claims United would rather prioritise a move for Haaland, who has scored 33 goals in 32 appearances for BVB since his arrival.

It’s easy to see what attracts United to Haaland but there’s room for caution as the striker is represented by Mino Raiola, the Italian super agent who had a public war of words with Manchester United over his client Paul Pogba not long ago. He announced that the Frenchman will be looking for a new club in the summer or when his deal at Old Trafford runs out.

A goalscorer like Haaland is lacking in United’s team, and now with Edinson Cavani suspended for a further two matches we are relying on Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford to provide the goals — not to mention the importance of Bruno Fernandes pulling the strings in the centre.

Mason Greenwood might start one of the upcoming cup matches.
