Manchester United fans are speculating that Jack Grealish could move to Old Trafford after a photo emerged of him speaking with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Friday night.
Stretty News reported that United turned down the opportunity to sign the attacking midfielder for £80m in the summer, when Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho was the priority target that we missed out on.
Grealish went on to sign a new contract at his boyhood club Villa and United turned their attention towards Netherlands international Donny van de Beek for a much lower fee.
United now have a number of creative midfield options from Van de Beek and Paul Pogba to Bruno Fernandes, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata. The defensive work is usually left to Scott McTominay and Fred as a duo, but there will be times when Nemanja Matic steps in like he did off the bench against Villa.
However, the emergence of a photo showing Grealish and Solskjaer seemingly in conversation with one another whilst walking off the pitch at Old Trafford got huge traction on social media last night. A number of giddy United fans have suggested it could be an indicator of a potential transfer.
