Manchester United will not enter into negotiations with Atalanta to loan new-signing Amad Diallo back to the Italian club until the summer.
Diallo, 18, agreed to join United on deadline day during the 2020 summer transfer window, the agreement was announced on the club’s official website.
However, due to work permit and passport complications, the gifted teenager is unable to join-up with his new team-mates until this month.
Diallo, who primarily operates as a right-sided attacker has enjoyed a hugely impressive breakthrough during a period with Atalanta’s first-team. The 18-year-old has emerged as one of Europe’s most highly-rated youngsters after already featuring in five senior matches, in all competitions.
As the United faithful now eagerly prepare to welcome their new youngster to Old Trafford, a recent report from leading journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed Atalanta are trying to retain the teenager on loan until the summer.
Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini announced today in press conference that they’re “working to keep Amad Diallo on loan until June”.
… but Manchester United want Amad to join the club immediatly and not in June. And @Amaddiallo79 priority is to join #MUFC right now. 🔴🛩

However, Stretty News has obtained information from club officials which confirms that despite the Italian’s efforts, United are unwilling to enter into any discussions and will reject any proposals for Diallo to remain at Atalanta.
Speaking after his side’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Friday evening, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed that Diallo is expected to join the side soon with no further hold-ups expected.
