Schalke defender Ozan Kabak is reportedly a transfer target for Manchester United, RB Leipzig and AC Milan with the centre-back preferring a move to the Premier League or Bundesliga over the Serie A.

Kabak, 20, joined Schalke from domestic rivals Stuttgart during the summer of 2019 and has since gone on to emerge as the league’s most highly-rated defenders.

After being included in 36 matches in all competitions for Schalke since his arrival and putting in some classy performances, Kabak has seen his stock rise dramatically.

The defender who primarily operates as a centre-back but can also fill in as a defensive midfielder has been catching the attentions of some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils.

According to a recent report from Sky Germany’s Marc Behrenbeck, the 20-year-old defender is being looked at by United, RB Leipzig and AC Milan.

However, despite the strong interest shown in the Turkish centre-back, Sky Germany claim it is the player’s preference to join either the Premier League or the Bundesliga.

Behrenbeck’s claims put United in a seemingly good position to land the defender, add in the fact Schalke are staring at relegation, United could bag themselves a bargain.
