According to The Star, the Manchester United hierarchy want to tie down Marcus Rashford to a new five-year contract before the end of the season.
The club plans to open talks in the next two months, with the 23-year-old’s current deal running until 2023, with the option of a further year in place.
United’s plan, as per the report, is to have Rashford’s contract sorted before the Euros begin next summer.
He has picked up where he left off last season, with a career-best campaign of 22 goals and 12 assists in 44 appearances.
The Guardian claim that Rashford’s current term are worth an initial £200,000-a-week, with potential bonuses and incentives taking it to a maximum of £250,000-a-week.
The Star adds that Rashford’s performances have caught the eye of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
Rashford is continuing to make an impact off the pitch for some of the UK’s less fortunate, and good things happen to good people.
Rashford is a player to be proud of.

Rashford is one of a few players who I believe would stay even if we have a reduced contract. Not many would do that at our club

He wants to stay here till he retires + he already is on 200k p/w. I don’t think paying him more is needed

One of the best players to ever emerge from our youth system. I would be happy if you equal his contract to our highest paid player.
