Manchester United have been drawn against Championship side Watford at Old Trafford in the third round of the 2020/2021 Emirates FA Cup.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are hunting for the club’s 13th FA Cup title and have been handed a favourable tie as they aim to progress to the fourth round.
Watford, who were relegated last season, are currently in the play-off positions in the Championship and are managed by Vladimir Ivić.
The Reds defeated Watford comfortably in the last meeting between the two clubs in February, but were shocked as they lost 2-0 at Vicarage Road two months earlier.
United midfielder James Garner is enjoying a loan spell at Watford but it is unknown whether the club will make him available to play.
Meanwhile, the headline tie is undoubtedly Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur travelling to eight-tier Marine.
Marine have been handed a dream tie against the Premier League’s current leaders after beating Havant & Waterlooville in extra-time to seal their progression to the third round on Sunday.
United’s game, along with the other third round ties, will take place on the weekend of the 9th January 2021.
Notable other third round ties:
Manchester City v Birmingham City
Aston Villa v Liverpool
Arsenal v Newcastle United
Stockport County v West Ham United
Chelsea v Morecambe
