Video: Gary Neville laughs at ABUs after Cavani winner against Southampton

My phone was quiet at full-time yesterday. No texts mocking Manchester United when I’m sure several people had drafted their messages at half-time.

Southampton went in at the break with a 2-0 lead but United were still the better side. The first goal was from a corner and against the run of play, whereas James Ward-Prowse deserves utmost respect for his stunning free-kick which David de Gea did well to get a touch on.

The second-half started and on came Edinson Cavani. The Uruguayan turned the game on its head with an assist for Bruno Fernandes to make it 2-1, and a brace to make it 3-2 in United’s favour.

Former United captain Gary Neville was active on Twitter towards the end of the match and couldn’t help but laugh at all the ABUs (Anyone But United; someone who is anti-MUFC) who were in his mentions at half-time.

This is when we bite our tongue and ride out the rest of the match. This United side has not been become renowned for comebacks but on Sunday they did just that.

It’s a great feeling when people prematurely laugh at United’s expense.

But we’re happy to report GNev had the last laugh! 😂
