Edinson Cavani did not escape criticism from Roy Keane after proving the match-winner for Manchester United against Southampton.
Cavani completed a dramatic turnaround with two late goals to seal a 3-2 victory for the Reds at St Mary’s.
But before inspiring a vital win, Cavani baffled supporters by failing to be ready as he was brought on as a second-half substitute by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Uruguayan frontman missed the opening 30 seconds after the break as he bizarrely hadn’t sorted his boots.
It was an incident Keane unsurprisingly described as ‘mind boggling’ in the aftermath of the game.
But, as Keane noted, Cavani didn’t need his boots in the end as the decisive moments both came with his head.
Cavani instinctively nodded in Bruno Fernandes’ deflected shot and showed excellent movement to meet Rashford’s cross in the final moments.

🗣"How the guy is not prepared to go on, it is mind-boggling" 🤣
