Antonio Conte eyeing Man United midfielder in exchange for Christian Eriksen

Inter Milan are reportedly considering offering Manchester United Christian Eriksen in exchange for Brazilian midfielder Fred.

Eriksen, 28, left Tottenham Hotspur back in January after refusing to sign a new deal and instead opted to join Inter Milan in a transfer which cost the Serie A side £24.3m, as per Transfermarkt.

Despite only moving to Inter Milan less than 12-months ago, Eriksen has struggled to impress manager Antonio Conte as the Italian coach insists on keeping his Danish midfielder on the bench.

Eriksen has featured in a total of 33 matches in all competitions for the Nerazzurri but has only managed to be directly involved in just seven goals.

With Eriksen’s long-term future now subject to much speculation, according to reports in Italy from Corriere dello Sport (via Football Italia), Inter Milan are willing to offer their new 26-year-old out in an exchange deal.

The latest name to be linked with a move to the San Siro in exchange for Eriksen is United’s Fred.

However, CDS’ report does acknowledge that although Conte may be an admirer of the industrious Brazilian, he will be difficult to prize away from Old Trafford.
