Paul Ince thinks Manchester United will regret Jack Grealish transfer decision

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince believes Manchester United will regret not signing Jack Grealish during the summer.

This comes after a Stretty News exclusive which was published on Wednesday.

SN writer Leah Smith obtained information from a close source who revealed just how close Grealish came to leaving Aston Villa for United. It is our understanding that the Red Devils were only ever interested in landing Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho and despite being offered the Villa captain, United’s board turned the chance to bring him to Old Trafford down.

However, speaking to the Gary Newbon Sports show on Punching TV (quotes via Manchester Evening News), Ince had this to say about United missing out on the opportunity to sign the England international.

“I don’t like it when people parallel you with someone else but I know people will. I know Bryan Robson said something the other day about Gazza and Jack Grealish, I mean Jack has done well and to be fair he has been brilliant for Villa.

“When Villa nearly went down last season I thought he was going to move on to another club, I know Tottenham were keen to take him and Manchester United. I bet they wish they took him now because he’s been absolutely sensational.”

Although Grealish has been excellent and looks like a player who could make a real difference, when you look at the lack of games Donny van de Beek has had since joining United, I’m less sure it’s what we needed.

I think United need a right winger with pace who will run at defenders. We’ve got that on the right but the team is so imbalanced. It shows when the majority of our attacks come down the left flank and that makes us predictable.
