Internationals: Four Manchester United players could feature tonight

Manchester United could have four players in action tonight as Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba prepare for a possible midfield battle in the Nations League.

Portugal take on France in a blockbuster Nations League fixture with both teams joined top of Group A3 on 10 points.

It will be fascinating to see Fernandes and Pogba face-off on opposing teams. Pogba was maligned for his performance in Wednesday’s shock defeat to Finland, while Fernandes was an unused substitute in Portugal’s 7-0 thrashing of Andorra.

Perhaps Pogba could stake a claim for a return to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting XI against West Brom next Saturday with an accomplished performance.

Meanwhile, Anthony Martial was unused against Finland and could be in line to feature this evening.

The game can be viewed on Sky Sports Football and kicks off at 19:45 GMT.

Elsewhere, David de Gea could return in goal for Spain again in their Nations League game away to Switzerland.

United’s number one did not play in the friendly against the Netherlands on Wednesday.

You can see Spain take on Switzerland on Sky Sports red button from 19:45 GMT.

We’re looking forward to seeing United players on international duty but Solskjaer’s main hope will be that the four players in action avoid injury ahead of a congested fixture schedule.
