More proof that everyone wants a bit of Marcus Rashford.
Burberry has unveiled its latest campaign featuring Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford.
The brand teamed up with Rashford to help charities that support young people in the UK and across the world.
Burberry will continued to provide donations to FareShare, a charity Rashford has had close links to during the coronavirus pandemic.
Chief creative officer at Burberry Riccardo Tisci said (quotes via WWD): “This campaign is about looking forward, looking to the future, inspired by youth, it brings together a community of different talents and words as one. United by passion, commitment and love, this campaign is a celebration of their dreams, of exploring and of always going beyond.”
He added: “I’m honoured that Burberry can partner with Marcus Rashford and amazing organisations around the world to give back to the next generation, allowing them to explore their dreams. And I wanted to take that concept — of exploring beyond — to express a real sense of freedom in the campaign. It’s all about that fearless spirit and imagination when pushing boundaries, something that we hold so close to our hearts at Burberry.”
Rashford wants to see more money invested into youth centres which play a pivotal role in the childhood of many kids in underprivileged areas. And it’s something the United striker knows a great deal about from his own childhood.
“Burberry has led with action rather than words and the impact of this move will be felt for generations to come,” Rashford said. “I’m thrilled with the outcome and proud to call Burberry my partner.”
The campaign includes a short film with four dancers.
