Barcelona are reportedly targeting talented Manchester United teenager Arnau Puigmal.

Puigmal is one of a number of highly-rated prospects in United’s impressive academy setup and has featured regularly for Neil Wood’s U23 side this season.

The 19-year-old Spaniard moved to United from Espanyol three years ago and while he is yet to make a first-team appearance under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, he already has plenty of admirers.

According to Spanish publication Sport, Barcelona have interest in Puigmal and are ready to make a move for the player as early as January rather than in the summer window.

It is noted that Puigmal has just six-months left on his current deal and would be keen on a switch back to Catalunia should the possibility arise.

Puigmal is a precocious midfield talent who has proven his versatility with his adeptness at full-back early on this season.

We hope to see Puigmal develop in the red of United but will provide any update should he move on in the coming months.
