It’s clear that Scott McTominay is one of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s most trusted players.
The Manchester United midfield has become a mainstay in the line-up, along with Fred, and sometimes that is with Paul Pogba on the bench.
That suggests welcome change at Old Trafford in my opinion. We’ve got to stop shoehorning players into roles and find the best eleven to accommodate how Solskjaer wishes to play each week.
McTominay gave an outstanding long pass forward on Saturday against Everton to find Marcus Rashford on the left flank.
If he can feed these type of balls into our attacking players more often it will become a useful tool to open teams up.
These kind of balls can make transitions much quicker, and it goes to show that United have a developing player in the middle who gets a lot of unfair criticism on social media.
Wonderful technique too!
