Pogba annoyed at Man United’s decision to trigger 12-month contract extension

Paul Pogba is said to be unimpressed by Manchester United’s decision to trigger a 12-month extend sion clause in his contract month.

That’s according to the Metro and it’s not likely to go down well with United fans.

Although I know plenty of United fans who would like to see the back of him, the club are right to prevent him signing a pre-contact agreement with overseas clubs which would have been possible from January 1st, until United took up their option of extending his deal.

It’s not as if Pogba and his representatives didn’t know the ball was in United’s park. This was part of the deal when he signed a then-world record £89m deal in 2016 to return to Old Trafford.

The Frenchman has been linked with an exit ever since then, so United are right to hold their guard up, even if I would be happier to see him moved on at this stage.

Perhaps the real reason Pogba is kicking up a fuss and showing he’s upset is at the fact Real Madrid won’t be knocking on his door anytime soon?
