Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard has hinted that he could be on the road to recovery after the Englishman took to social media to reassure fans he is getting back to full fitness.

Lingard, 27, has not started once for United in the Premier League so far this season with his last competitive performance coming off the bench against Brighton and Hove Albion last month.

However, with fixture congestion not set to ease up again until mid-way through next month, Lingard will undoubtedly be hoping to get back in to action to help his side fight on four competitive fronts.

Speaking to fans on his official Instagram account, Lingard said “Stepping up my recovery.”
