Manchester United are reportedly eyeing up a stunning January move for RB Salzburg star Dominik Szoboszlai in a transfer which is believed to cost upwards of £27m.
Szoboszlai, 20, joined RB Salzburg in 2018 from Austrian second tier side FC Liefering and has since gone on to emerge as one of Europe’s brightest attacking talents.
RB Salzburg’s 20-year-old Hungarian has featured in 71 matches in all competitions for the Austrian Bundesliga champions and has been directly involved in a hugely impressive 53 goals.
Szoboszlai has not only proven that he is one of the sport’s hottest prospects domestically, the young attacker has already shown he can also do it on Europe’s biggest stage.
The midfielder has featured in a total of nine Champions League matches and has scored five goals and set another up. The Hungarian’s latest heroics came in his side’s 3-2 defeat to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night after he scored a 40th-minute equaliser.
According to a recent report from Todo Fichajes, RB Salzburg’s star is beginning to turn the heads of some of Europe’s biggest teams including Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United.
The report claims that the Reds are preparing to make a move for the 20-year-old as early as January and have been told the acquisition of the young midfielder will cost upwards of £27m.
It has also been reported that Solskjaer is keen to add Szoboszlai to his squad’s ranks after he viewed the Hungarian as a perfect fit for his impressively developing side.
