Former Manchester United defender Paul Parker believes there is a ‘witch hunt’ against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and has slammed critics of the Norwegian manager.
Pressure was mounting on Solskjaer after the humiliating 6-1 home defeat to Tottenham before the international break but two victories over Newcastle and Paris Saint-Germain have muted plenty of doubters.
It’s easy to forget that it’s only three months since Solskjaer secured United an improbable third place finish in the Premier League and the manager deserves time to progress with the new arrivals to his squad.
Parker, who was in two title-winning squads at Old Trafford, has insisted Solskjaer is good fit at the club and does not deserve to be disrespected.
United face Chelsea at home on Saturday evening as they look to make it three wins within seven days.
