Marcus Rashford has been discussing the importance of bouncing back as Manchester United take on Newcastle at St James’ Park.
United’s humiliating 6-1 defeat to Tottenham before the international break would have hurt Rashford and his teammates, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must elicit a positive reaction from his squad this evening.
Rashford believes this fixture holds heightened importance after the Spurs defeat at Old Trafford and wants to secure victory in a way he can be proud of.
The 22-year-old is a credit to the club and was recently awarded an MBE for his efforts to help vulnerable children during the covid-19 pandemic.
But his focus will be firmly fixed on kickstarting his season with an impressive performance in a new look United attack.
Solskjaer is without preferred centre-forwards Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial for the fixture, so could line-up with an unfamiliar front three of Rashford, Juan Mata and Mason Greenwood.
