Diogo Dalot pictured training with AC Milan for the first time

Diogo Dalot has been pictured training with AC Milan for the first time since joining the Serie A outfit on a season-long loan.

The young Portuguese right-back has struggled to get game time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer due to a combination of injuries and selection decisions.

It made sense to allow him go out on loan because I wouldn’t completely write off his chances of being a decent squad player at the very least, though AC Milan could be his standard and suit him like we seen over the past 12 months with Chris Smalling at AS Roma.

After featuring for Portugal’s U21 side on international duty, Dalot can now focus on getting to know his new team-mates.

On Saturday AC Milan take on Inter Milan at the San Siro. Dalot could face former United players Romelu Lukaku, Ashley Young and Alexis Sanchez in the Milan derby and I think a lot of Reds will be watching. Kick-off is 5pm so it gives us something to glance over while waiting for United to take on Newcastle at 8pm.

Dalot shared a photo on Instagram from AC Milan training with the following caption: Prima Allenamento! 🔜 Derby Time #SempreMilan
