Video: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer press conference – Still united after bad start to season

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer addressed the press on Friday morning ahead of the team’s Premier League trip to Newcastle.

He spoke for the first time since his side lost 6-1 to Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.

The Norwegian coach, like the fans, will demand a reaction to that defeat which was inexcusable. You know there is something very wrong when a Jose Mourinho side scores 6 goals away from home.

It was a wake up call and United reacted by panicking on transfer deadline day.

Anyhow, Solskjaer stresses that the United players will remain United during this difficult spell, as Bruno Fernandes showed whilst on international duty — by doing the complete opposite to Paul Pogba — when he dismissed a feud with the United manager. The original story appeared in the Mirror and was echoed by The Athletic.

He also congratulates Marcus Rashford on his ‘MBE’ as well as noting how bad United have been since the season began.
