Paul Scholes lists the two players his former club should sign instead of Jadon Sancho

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes believes his former side should look to sign Tottenham Hotspurs’ Harry Kane or Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland instead of continuing their pursuit to land number-one target Jadon Sancho.

Scholes, now retired, enjoyed a hugely successful career with United after being a member of the club’s famous Class of 92′ during a 20-year spell which saw the midfielder feature in over 400 matches for the Reds.

The English central-midfielder knows a thing or two about what is required in order to lift silverware after lifting 25 trophies including a whopping 11 Premier League titles.

The former United star has weighed in on the argument regarding his old club’s failure to capture number-one summer transfer target Sancho.

Scholes told Stadium Astro reporter Alison Bender that United should forget all about Sancho and instead opt to bring in either Kane or Haaland.

Haaland, 20, has emerged as one of Europe’s most clinical strikers after racking up a total of 70 goals in 117 appearances in all competitions with Kane, 27, equally as impressive on 223 in 374.
